gigaaa - your new life companion
gigaaa Protects Your Data
Every day we connect to more and more people, systems and devices. And what we should ask ourselves is: what does every new connection know about me? The more I connect, the more I share. But do I really want to share my full profile, to share my private life with everyone? How can I protect my private data?
We must connect to keep up with the progress in our society because everyone and everything gets more connected. But what kind of connections do I really need and how do I protect myself from oversharing private data with people and systems? Today you look into people’s Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram or LinkedIn profile and you know right from the first moment so much about this person, and they have no clue about it. Do I really want everybody to know so much private stuff about myself? Businesses get to know about you even more because they pay Facebook for your data. Facebook business model is to sell your private data. Facebook makes thousands of dollars with your private data and you have no clue who gets access to your private data and what they do with it. There are more than 10.000 single parameters in your Facebook profile and companies that want to get your attention can instantly see, scan and store all this information about you.
Today people care about privacy more than they did in the past, especially since Amazon Alexa moved into our homes. Now you have a device with an always listening mode if you give it access to your home. And there are many more devices coming that listen to what you have to say. It will be your mirror in the bathroom or your refrigerator. It will be in the coffee maker or the microwave in the kitchen. Devices will be connected and most of them with always have their listening mode on. I don’t want to scare you with this information, but I want you to think about what actually means to be more and more connected in the future. That’s why everyone should start thinking about, what kind of connections do I really need and how will I protect my privacy in the future?
Do you know the song from 1984 called Somebody´s watching me? There is a song performed by Rockwell and he sings together with Michael Jackson:
“I always feel like somebody’s watching me. And I have no privacy.
I always feel like somebody’s watching me. Tell me is it just a dream?”
Amazon will have to prove that they don’t sell customers’ data to third parties before we continue providing it with more and more information about us. And gigaaa has the same responsibility to show people that the AI personal assistant protects users’ privacy. But one thing is for sure, the Facebook business model as we know it today has no chance to survive in the future. People do not want to give away their privacy for free anymore. Customers data always has to be protected and the customer wants to own his data and not the other way around. Facebook went from being a place to stay connected with people to a big battleground about politics and a security risk. Besides privacy, there is another reason why more and more people leave Facebook. We are tired of fake friendships.
Soon AI personal assistants like gigaaa will take care of your social media management and it will take care of your privacy at the same time. The sooner you connect your AI personal assistant with your social media accounts the faster it can start learning how to protect you. It is not easy for a human brain to follow and control Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram at the same time because of the information overload. But smart machines can do that for you. A system like gigaaa can track and control thousands of accounts with millions of parameters to screen what’s going on and at the same time to protect your privacy. gigaaa protects your private data because it’s built in a way to share only single information relevant for that single transaction you request. For example, you want to buy sports shoes from Intersport, when you say: “I want to buy new Adidas Tennis shoes from Intersport”. gigaaa connects you to the Intersport’s system and forwards your private information about favorite brands, shoe colors, your shoe size, the price range or budget and delivery time. All this information is part of your profile history and that´s why gigaaa knows your preferences and your taste. This is shared with Intersport because this is needed to give you a personalized offer and smart shopping experience. But Intersport doesn´t need to know about your favorite movies, songs, places, your friends list or destinations you have traveled to over the last few months. Today, once you give someone access to your Facebook, you share so much more than you should. If you interact with a food store you should share only food relevant information about yourself. If you need a travel service, you should share only travel relevant information and if you connect with your doctor, you only share health-related information about yourself. That is how your gigaaa AI assistant is built and that is why gigaaa will protect your private data in the future, no matter how many devices or accounts you get connected to.
Start thinking of your privacy settings and be more careful who you give access to your social media accounts because you will create many more connections in the future. This reminds me of the song Faith from George Michael, my favorite singer, when he sings:
“Before this river becomes an ocean
Before you throw my heart back on the floor
Oh baby I reconsider my foolish notion
Well I need someone to hold me, But I wait for something more
Yes I’ve gotta have faith, I gotta faith”
Besides privacy, I want to share some emotional thoughts with you, also related to social media. We must admit, Facebook separated us. We got connected in digital life but we don’t meet in real life. It feels like people we cared about are forgetting about us and I really don’t want people in my life to like my photos on the internet, but not being able to acknowledge me when I see them in real life. Because of that, the gigaaa team has developed the GIG Service. Our AI personal assistant should help bring us back together. Especially, it should bring us back to the ones that we really care about and the ones that care about us. There is so much more I want to tell you about this topic, but today I have to say, life is not always beautiful, especially when someone we love is gone. Still, life goes on and we must find a way to carry on. There are times when we must look around us and see that there are many more things and people worth living for, many more new goals to achieve and to explore things we have never thought of before. This is one of the moments when you start thinking of who do you really care about and who does really care about you? You start thinking of what kind of connections and friendships you really want in your life?
But let´s talk about this next time. Next time I will talk about how gigaaa will bring us back together and help us take care of true and important relationships in our life. Our time is limited and precious. Spend it with people that really care about you. My best friends know, my absolute favorite song is about telling them how much they mean to me. When I, Dragan Alexander Stevanovic, sing the song of Ben E. King called Stand By Me:
“When the night has come, And the land is dark
and the moon is the only light we see
No I won’t be afraid, No I won’t be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me!”
Give the ones you love a big hug and tell them how much they mean to you. Have a good time. See you next week.
“Life is gigaaa!”
